In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the zoo operates in full compliance with all legal, regulatory, and licensing requirements. This includes upholding the highest standards of animal welfare, ensuring all health and safety protocols are consistently followed, and meeting the obligations set out under relevant zoo licensing legislation. You will take a proactive lead in developing, implementing, and continuously monitoring robust compliance and safety strategies across all departments within the Zoo. This includes designing and delivering safety training programmes, conducting regular audits and risk assessments. You will work closely with internal teams, external agencies, and licensing authorities to maintain a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
