Zero Harm Manager Transport & Infrastructure Delivery NZ

Are you a seasoned Health and Safety professional ready to take your career to the next level — with scale, impact, and serious strategic influence?

This is not just another safety role. It’s your opportunity to help guide some of New Zealand’s most complex, high-value infrastructure projects to ensure they’re delivered safely and successfully.

Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

With a significant forward workload across our Major Infrastructure Projects portfolio, we’re looking for a Zero Harm Manager to help support, shape and embed a high-performance safety culture across multi-million-dollar programmes of work.

With a national footprint and growing presence across the South Pacific, this role offers you:

Influence over major, nation-shaping projects aligned with NZ Inc aspirations Strategic partnerships with leading local and global construction firms  The chance to make a meaningful impact — not just on policy, but on people, performance, and long-term legacy

If you're looking for a hands-on role where your leadership will be seen, your expertise valued, and your impact felt across regions — this is it.

You’ll join a trans-Tasman business that champions a strong safety culture, embraces continuous improvement, and supports your ongoing growth and leadership development.

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

You're a motivational and authentic leader with a proactive mindset, strong emotional intelligence, and a drive for excellence. You know how to influence cultural change, build trust, and communicate effectively — from frontline teams to senior leaders.

You’ll also bring:

10+ years’ experience in HSE roles within high-risk industries (e.g., infrastructure, construction, transport) Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management frameworks Strong analytical and reporting skills to turn data into insight and action Confidence in delivering presentations and workshops Experience conducting advanced incident investigations and implementing corrective actions Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills A genuine commitment to innovation, learning, and continuous improvement

As a self-starter, you’ll manage your time effectively, and we equally understand the importance of balancing work with whānau and personal commitments.
