Summary: 

The Center for Family Services is looking for a Full Time Youth Counselor. The Youth Counselor works with a dynamic team of professionals providing counseling and support services to children, teens, and parents who have witnessed and/or experienced domestic violence in their home. The primary role of the Youth Counselor is to provide assessments, counseling using TF-CBT and psycho-educational services.

Job Type/Status: Fee for Service

Job Requirements:

Maintain a caseload of counseling cases in the programProvide weekly/bi-weekly individual counseling sessions with clients on caseloadConduct to 2-3 weekly group sessionsProvide case management services as neededComplete documentation and other reporting requirementsMaintain contact with referral sources and provide progress updatesMeets regularly with supervisor and participates in other continuing professional development opportunities.Assist Program Director in completing reports and reviewing weekly invoices and progress notesComplete file reviews, and follow-up calls for active and discharged clientsOther related duties as required.

Requirements:

MSW, or MA in a related human services fieldLicensed (MFT, LCSW, LPC) preferred or license eligibleBi-Lingual Spanish Speaking preferred but not requiredKnowledge in the area of domestic violenceExperience working with children, teens and familiesWilling to complete TF-CBT TrainingClearly communicate ideas in both written and verbal formValid driver's license in the state of his/her residence, insurance, and clean driving record.
