Position: Youth Center Coordinator – Durrës

JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to contribute to the planning and implementation of the Durrës Multifunctional Youth Centre project, in collaboration with the Youth Project Technical Advisor and the Durrës Team Leader. He/She will be responsible for overall management and coordination of all the necessary resources to successfully complete all Youth Centre Activities. In addition, she/he will provide support in the development and implementation of Youth Centre standards as well as of Durrës Youth Centre protocol.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning and Implementation
Responsible for developing the Youth Centre annual project plan based on agreed objective and budget for the project.Responsible in designing and re-designing project documents.Facilitate, implement project activities according to the established log frames. Design and coordinate the calendar of activities( weekly and monthly) of Youth Centre with the project partners, local key stakeholders, and also the Youth Advisor.Ensure that youth and their parents, partners and community representatives are well informed and participate towards the project`s goals, objectives and activities.Meet regularly with youth to ensure their active involvement in the project and their participation in proposals, recommendations and actions for improvement.Work closely with the Youth Technical Advisor and Local Youth Coordinator to create enhanced activities for the project.Facilitate reflection meetings with all stakeholders involved in the project, to assess the progress and impact and the ways to be improvedProvide written monthly reports and other project documentation/information to the Youth Technical Advisor and Team Leader as requiredContribute the preparation and contribute in the publication of materials for the project as required and ensure appropriate dissemination.Be aware of the Child Protection and the Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs (HEA) standards and operational imperatives to ensure that necessary preparedness measures have been implementedProject Monitoring and Compliance
Responsible for the implementation of the monitoring plan of the project and the respective documentation, by gathering and keeping regular data developed by Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) team.Monitor, track, and report the status and deliverables against plans and schedules.Contribute to ensuring that the project activities are delivered within scope, time and budget.Provide monthly information to Youth Technical Advisor for each component progress.Support the development and implementation of Youth Centre standards and protocols to ensure consistent, quality service delivery and a safe, well-structured environment for all young people.Ensure that all the youth centre activities are compliant with WVA Safeguarding Policy.Partnering and Coordination
Establish and maintain regular communication with local institutions (e.g., municipality, schools, employment office, and other local partners) to ensure their engagement and support in youth centre activities.Coordinate the planning and implementation of joint initiatives with local stakeholders that aim to support the personal, social, and professional development of young people.Represent the youth centre in local networks, working groups, and community events that promote youth rights and well-being.Identify opportunities for collaboration with local NGOs, businesses, and public institutions to provide trainings, services, and resources for youth.Advocate for youth participation in local initiatives and decision-making processes by facilitating connections between young people and local institutionsKNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
Required Professional Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of experience working with youth or in community-based programs.Experience in coordinating projects, preferably in partnership with local institutions or civil society organizations.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with local stakeholders (e.g., municipalities, schools, NGOs, businesses).Excellent organizational and planning abilities, with attention to detail.Ability to engage and motivate young people from diverse backgrounds.Problem-solving mindset, flexibility, and initiative.Skilled in event coordination, activity planning, and facilitation.Skilled in preparation of communication materials (e.g., success stories, event summaries, visual content) to increase awareness and visibility of the youth centre’s work).Understanding of youth development principles and child protection standards.Valid driver’s license ,ability and willingness to travel domestically to 50% of the time.Required Education, Training, License, Registration, and Certification
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Community Development, Youth Work, or a related field.A Master’s degree is an advantage.Effective in written and oral communication; able to speak and write with a high standard of English.Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
