Youth Apprentice

SUMMARY

As a Youth Apprentice, you participate in a comprehensive internship program that introduces you to a wide range of clinical and health experiences. This is a paid internship that offers you an opportunity to be assigned to one of our clinical/non-clinical departments during your senior/junior year of high school – giving you a glimpse of potential careers in healthcare. Please note that students must attend RCSD schools or charter schools or be a student of the urban/suburban program.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Varied. Depending on departmentPatient Care. Provide direct and indirect patient care activities, facilitating wherever needed; work with patients in relation to nutritional, skin integrity, elimination and hygiene needs; take patient vital signsAdmission & Discharge. Assist with the admission, discharge and transfer of patientsClerical Management. Maintain patient charts as needed

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
