What You Will Be Doing:

The Lead Inventory Technician oversees daily inventory operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company standards. This role combines hands-on inventory management with team leadership responsibilities, including training, task delegation, and process improvement. The Lead Inventory Technician plays a key role in maintaining optimal stock levels and supporting cross-functional teams.

Primary Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate the activities of inventory technicians and warehouse staff. Oversee receiving, storing, and issuing of materials and products. Ensure accurate data entry into inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS). Conduct and lead regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and root causes. Maintain organized and efficient inventory storage systems. Train and mentor new inventory staff on procedures and safety protocols. Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to forecast and manage inventory needs. Generate and analyze inventory reports to support decision-making. Additional Responsibilities: Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner. Additional duties as assigned by manager. Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should have prior experience as a Lead Inventory Technician in a similar industry, possess strong problem solving skills and a strong focus on customer service. You should be able to lead by example and act as mentor, motivator, and director to those that report under you.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. Experience with different types of sheet metal (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel). Required Qualifications/Skills: Possess the necessary problem-solving skills to meet the needs of our customers and employees. Excellent people skills with customer service experience. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications/Skills: Proficiency in inventory software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, WMS, Microsoft D365). Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to lift and move items up to [50lbs] and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks). Physical/Environmental Conditions: Constantly Lift/Carry/Lower 1 – 15 Lbs., Constantly Lift/Carry/Lower 15 – 30 Lbs., Frequently Lift/Carry/Lower 30 – 50 Lbs., occasionally Lift/Carry/Lower 50 – 75 Lbs., seldom Lift/Carry/Lower 75 – 100 Lbs. +. Frequently pushing/pulling, reaching (both above and below shoulder), bending/twisting, walking, standing, repetition – hand/wrist simple and firm grasping. Frequently crouching/stooping/squatting, crawling/kneeling, climbing/stepping. Stand for long periods (8–10 hours per shift). Frequent walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Regularly lift and move items up to 50 lbs. Tolerant of noise, dust, and temperature changes. Required PPE: safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots. Noise level may require hearing protection.
