Working within the Transport Department the main purpose of the role is to ensure a smooth

transition when loading, unloading trailers, and ensuring maintenance and safety at all times.

Shift- 4on4off Nights 18:00pm-06:00am 

Salary- £40,256 PA + £10 nights allowance shift. 

Job DescriptionObserving and adhering to company rules, site procedures and all aspects of Health & Safety and Hygiene at all timesEffectively managing own working time in line with the Road Transport DirectiveLiaising with colleagues and ensuring completion of shift reportConducting daily checks, immediately reporting any defects and / or damage and completing associated documentationCarrying out trailer checks on loaded trailers and report to ops staffCompleting trailer checklist and reporting to operations deskCarrying out shunting duties including relevant maintenance and safety checksLiaising with the warehouse control and goods in staff to ensure smooth and efficient loading / unloading of trailersCompleting vehicles downloads as per the company policyMonitoring services / MOTs – liaising with Transport Office and with service vendorAssisting with fuel delivery / manual dip of fuelKeeping yard in clean / tidy conditionLiaising with Transport Office as and when required i.e. special promotions and / or livery schedulesManage the flow of traffic in and out of the yard
