Yard Driver (CDL A) - 2nd Shift

Distribution Center

DESCRIPTION:

Must be able to assist in any area of the facility and perform functions of a Merchandise Processor II and/or Merchandise Processor IIIOperate Tractor-Trailer in a safe and efficient mannerSwitch and move trailers in the yardUse pallet jack and operate PIE equipmentTravel to move stock between distribution centersMake deliveries and pickups as neededResponsible for performing pre and post trip inspectionsMaintain work logs and recordsMaintain safeguards of confidential company informationUnderstands team objectives within assigned work areaAccurately performs data entry via PC/RFMust be flexible to constantly changing conditions, both as they relate to the work schedule and project site conditionsMaintain safe work practicesCompletes other duties as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with airbrake & trailer endorsementDetail orientedAble to lift 50 lbs; weight requirements may vary within work areasStand for duration of work shift and walk/move continuouslyAbility to work independently or in team as assignedMust have a good driving record (DMV clearance)Experience with heavy equipment preferredPrevious PC/RF experience preferred; basic keyboarding skills; computer literate (knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel)Distribution center experience preferredPrevious power industrial equipment experience preferredBasic math skillsGood hand/eye coordinationAbility to work independently or in team as assignedQuality conscious and detail orientedFlexibility - will be required to work in other areas, overtime and extended hoursUnderstand and follow verbal and written instructions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend, stoop and climb for up to 10 hours at a timeClimb stairsStand for duration of work shift and walk/move continuouslyWork around moving machinery/equipmentAdjust to climate changes; hot and cold extremes may occur in warehousePerform frequent/reoccurring movement (folding, hanging clothing, wrapping, packing, closing, ticketing, etc.)Lift up to 50 pounds several times per day; weight requirements may vary within work areas; perform overhead lifting as necessaryWork comfortably on open platform/loft areas that are elevated to a second or third story level

Full-time2nd Shift 3pm-11pmAble to flex up and work overtime as needed
