Job Title: Yard Attendant
Job Description

The Yard Attendant is responsible for performing basic yard functions to ensure that all key information is recorded on incoming vehicles and assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of these vehicles throughout the sale process.

ResponsibilitiesCheck in vehicles by recording and filing information on vehicles being assigned to the facility.Detail vehicles thoroughly to enhance their appearance and value at auction.Record vehicle information accurately.Recover keys, license plates, and other items from vehicles and store them appropriately.Assist visitors by providing guidance or directing them to the appropriate person.Wash cars, remove license plates, and provide general cleaning services to maintain a clean and safe environment.Monitor yard activity to ensure compliance with company policies.Report any violations of company policy immediately to a supervisor or manager.Operate passenger vehicles safely for moving around the facility or participating in drive-through auctions.Receive training in forklift and loader operation.Assist with other yard functions as needed.Use a camera to take photos of cars as they arrive.Essential SkillsDetail-oriented with experience in production and manual labor.Strong automotive knowledge.Attention to detail and reliability.Must be tech-savvy.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust be able to read and write at a high school level.Strong attention to detail is required.Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle for transportation.Consistent attendance is necessary.Ability to interact effectively and supportively with customers and towers.Capable of performing or assisting with light maintenance of vehicles.Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.Able to perform activities that involve stooping, bending, standing, and walking for reasonable periods of time.General mechanical knowledge of vehicle makes and models is required.Work Environment

This position involves primarily outdoor work in all types of weather, including working in various temperatures and rain.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Yorktown, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
