JOB SUMMARY
The X-Ray Technologist - Radiology (MI) utilizes independent judgment in performing diagnostic imaging procedures using proper patient positioning, technique, and radiation safety according to department protocols.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Graduate of an AMA/JCERT accredited Radiology Program.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Minimum Required: One year experience in the Radiology profession with interest and willingness to learn CT. Must possess critical thinking and decision-making skills. Effective communication with patients, physicians, and staff. Knowledge of patient care techniques. Protects confidentiality of the patient and serves as a patient advocate at all times.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: BCLS Certification and current ARRT (R) registration or obtain registry within 6 months.
