We are seeking an experienced Partner Account Manager to join our Worldwide Public Sector team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing partnership strategies, driving revenue growth, and managing relationships with key public sector partners.
The Partner Account Manager is an individual contributor role on a team; responsible for large enterprise business within Global Defense Partners (GDP) for AWS Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) business. You will define a CxO relationship strategy, including engaging with AWS teams and leaders for executive sponsorship, coordinating executive business reviews, and developing sales opportunity for partner offerings and solutions. You will build and maintain key relationships, advance key sales opportunities, and work with a global team of AWS builders to manage a sales pipeline & deliver results.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and eligible obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with assigned public sector partners, including system integrators, consultants, and solution providers
• Create and execute business plans to drive partner revenue growth and market expansion
• Monitor partner performance metrics and ensure achievement of quarterly/annual targets
• Collaborate with internal teams to align partner initiatives with company objectives
• Facilitate partner enablement through training programs and certification processes
• Identify new partnership opportunities and evaluate potential partners
• Lead contract negotiations and partnership agreement processes
• Provide regular reporting on partner performance, pipeline, and revenue metrics

Key job responsibilities
• Drive strategic partnership growth between AWS and premier GSI across DOD/NATSEC programs
• Develop and execute joint sales campaigns aligned with defense modernization initiatives
• Lead executive engagement at both organizations to accelerate adoption of AWS solutions
• Create and manage joint GTM strategies for IL5/IL6 workloads and secure environments
• Coordinate complex technical solutions across AWS, GSI, and customer security requirements
• Manage a pipeline of opportunities currently exceeding $50M in annual revenue
• Build deep relationships across the defense industrial base, civilian and intelligence community

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales or equivalent business development, sales engineering/consulting or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in partner management, preferably in public sector
- Excellence in relationship management and communication skills
- Experience with CRM systems and partnership management tools
- Ability to travel as needed (25%-30%)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience in engineering, computer science, or MIS
- Experience driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level or equivalent
