Primary Function
The Business Programmer III will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions, debugging complex applications, and collaborating in a team environment. The Business Programmer III will have a solid background in business and financial analysis, management reporting, and related work experience.
Essential Duties
Design, code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database and programming technologyDevelop moderate to complex applications utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technologyMaintain and modify existing programs; make approved changesTest and develop programming modificationsWrite new program code using prescribed specficiationsWrite and maintain programming documentationEvaluate complex interrelationships between programsApply critical analysis to identify key issues and pose additional questions for researchAnalyze performance of programs and take actions to correct deficiencies based on consultations with users and approval of supervisorConfer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programsResolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controlsConduct or support complex analysis and research data to support management decision makingMaintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessedOther duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities

This is a on-site, fast-paced multi-tasking customer service-oriented environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. Adaptability regarding schedule and task changes is necessary to accommodate changing priorities. This position is normally 5 days a week M-F. However, weekends and after hour support may be required.
