Position Information Position Information Position Availability: Position Title: Writer/Copy Editor - Student Assistant Specialist Requisition Number: 0406073650 Location New York City Position Type: Student Department: CA/President's Office Responsibilities: ICI is seeking a highly motivated TNS student to work part-time with the India China Institute as a Writer/Copy Editor. The candidate must have good command of the English language and preferably have experience in public writing and copy editing for business, industry or other organizations.

Responsibilities:
The selected person will support content-driven efforts at the Institute including the following tasks:
Write and/or copy edit newsletters, website content, public programme notices, and other communications; Draft proposals and reports as needed; Copyedit ICI fellows’ works and others when needed; Provide marketing and program support;
Provide office support as needed.
Work Mode:
Hybrid/Split – Employees hired for this position have regularly scheduled, consistent percentage of time on campus (ex 1-4x/week) and also work some of the time remotely.
Salary:Up to $21.00 per hour. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Note: This position will demand contribution by deadline and flexible working hours for an average of 12 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate students, in particular doctoral degree-seeking students (who may work long-term with ICI) are welcome to apply. Must have excellent academic standing, as well as possess industry work experiences and a good mix of skill sets that speaks well to the program/project management of the India China Institute. Previous consulting experience providing expertise and industry insights related to the research agenda of the India China Institute. Hands-on experience managing community events, and/or managing communications and strategic marketing. Ability to work independently as a self-starter but is also comfortable collaborating with multiple team members, with a positive attitude, and be resourceful in identifying news and research on international affairs, especially those related to India and China.
