Your Opportunity as a Wrapper Tech
The Wrapper Tech is responsible for setting up wrapping machines for proper variety of product being produced, ensuring the proper code is being run and is in correct location and is legible, completing code verification, seal integrity, packaging verification and lot tracking sheets at specified times and notifying supervision when any check is not in compliance with company standards.
Location: 1525 Industrial Rd, Emporia, KS 66801
Work Arrangements: 100% on-site, Night Shift, Thurs-Tues 5:30pm-3:30am (flexibility required)
Compensation Base Rate: $34.46/hr
In this Role You Will:
Troubleshoot and address electrical and mechanical issues
Perform preventive maintenance
Assist with re-wraps and break operators as necessary
Communicate all changes at the time they are made and at shift change.
Complete daily log sheets and distribute to supervision at the end of the shift.
Ensure that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards of food quality, safe processes, compliance with all appropriate legal requirements and a focus on continuous process improvement
Maintain current and complete records of all activities (i.e., PM’s, safety, inventory, asset inventory, parts tags, etc.)
Keep work area and machines clean always
Understand Hostess scheduling for efficiency, ingredient and product flow, and distribution
Perform other duties as assigned

What We are Looking For:
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
2 years minimum maintenance experience
Experience working in a high speed, industrial maintenance environment
Ability to troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimum efficiency and product quality
Effective Oral and Written Communication Skills
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
Previous experience working on and troubleshooting high speed packaging equipment strongly preferred.
Experience in food manufacturing preferred
Personal Computer Skills - Literate with MS Excel, Word
Work Environment: This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing sites can be high.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to talk and hear.
Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds frequently.
May push and pull heavy trash carts, dough carts, portable equipment, and catch pans.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
