Cabot is seeking a qualified WPS Supervisor to join their Pampa, TX manufacturing plant. This person will support the efficient day-to-day running of the warehouse so as to ensure that customer requirements and schedules are met within agreed budgets. They will supervise employees involved in the movement, storage, packaging and shipping of all finished products. They will alsol provide supervision with hiring, training, and performance management.

How You Will Make an Impact Supervises the activities of the WPS personnel in all day-to-day operations to achieve efficient labor utilization for production requirements and priorities. Effectively practices Performance Based Management by coaching and developing employees, direct as well as matrix reports, and assuring effective alignment with the matrix functions.Oversees adherence to programs involving materials, hoppers, packaging and vehicle loading. Sets and rearranges schedules and priorities.Ensures safe use of machinery, implementing inspections and audit requirements. Ensures that packing machines are maintained for optimum performance and that pallet trucks and forklift trucks are charged and operational.Monitors stock levels and maintains customer call-off requirements via computer.Ensures safe stacking and storage and chronological stock movement.Ensures correct marking/ identification of packaging, samples and Q.C materials.Ensures adherence to site safety rules and safe working practices and maintain a good level of housekeeping in WPS areas.Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care® Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001®   technical specification, as applicable to the site/region. Encourages a culture of openness, continuous learning, and performance improvement.Knowledge of warehousing, packing and shipping practices as well as inventory management. Good understanding of plant capabilities, throughput constraints of the plant units and each plant’s bottleneck rates and cycle times.Working knowledge of various models of manufacturing systems and the benefits and limitations of each system.Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with others. Ability to lead and motivate team; conduct one and one and/or group meetings. Ability to monitor, and manage the performance of as well as the development of staff.Bachelor’s degree or at least 7+ years of relevant experience.Prior people management and/or team leadership experience is required, preferably in a warehousing or similar environment
