We are looking for a Workshop Turbocharger Engineer to join our team.
The location for this position is Gdansk, Poland.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Workshop Turbocharger Engineer, you will focus on these responsibilities:
Perform turbocharger overhauls in the workshop and occasionally carry out field service assignments. Prepare and submit spare parts requisitions as required. Fulfill all tasks assigned by the Team Leader, ensuring the work is completed to a high standard and maintaining required documentation, paperwork, and reports accurately. Demonstrate strong skills in work planning and organization. Maintain the quality and efficiency of mechanical work in accordance with manufacturers' specifications and ISO procedures. Use and maintain shop and field tools following good mechanical work practices, ensuring accurate and timely care of Wärtsilä special tools used in service operations. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through positive and professional customer interactions. Comply with all Wärtsilä regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions, as well as Polish labor law. Adhere to all safety rules and ensure the proper use of appropriate safety equipment.
Requirements for the position
University degree in Mechanical Engineering or graduation from a Technical School (preferably Mechanical). Ability to read turbocharger diagrams and operate balancing machines. Willingness and ability to travel for service assignments without restrictions. Very good Polish and good communication skills in English (both written and verbal). Excellent communication skills. Team player with strong collaboration skills. Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
