Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking a skilled Works Supervisor to oversee the safe and efficient delivery of residential maintenance and building services. Based in Cardiff, this role is deeply embedded in the Central Coast community, with regular travel across the region. Reporting to the Contract Operations Manager, this role ensures subcontractor performance, safety compliance, and service quality across a high-volume maintenance contract.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Cardiff with regular travel across the Central Coast. A BGIS vehicle, phone, and iPad will be provided to support your role.

The ideal candidate will be
An experienced building maintenance professional with strong trade knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate high-quality service delivery across subcontractors. A collaborative mindset, safety-first attitude, and customer focus are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise subcontractors across responsive, planned and project works
- Conduct site inspections, audits and ensure OH&S compliance
- Communicate effectively with tenants, clients, and suppliers
- Oversee work scheduling, quality assurance and issue resolution
- Report on work progress, contractor performance, and budgets

Education, Experience & Skills

Essential:
- Trade qualification in a building-related profession
- Extensive experience in domestic building maintenance and supervision
- Strong OH&S knowledge and compliance mindset
- Ability to interpret technical specs and drawings
- Financial acumen for managing volume-based contracts

Desirable:
- Experience working in government or public housing environments
- Strong computer literacy and report writing skills

Workplace Flexibility
This role is full-time and based out of Cardiff, with regular travel across the Central Coast. A work vehicle, mobile phone, and iPad are provided.
