Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It: As the Workplace Violence Prevention Program Administrator, you'll be instrumental in developing, implementing, and overseeing our comprehensive program across the entire Henry Ford Health system. You'll draw upon your tactical planning and leadership skills to: + Strategize and Execute: Under the direction of the Director of Employee Health and Safety, you'll set the strategic vision for the system's Workplace Violence Prevention Program, driving continuous improvement. Your ability to think critically and execute with precision will be vital in setting yearly and long-term objectives. + Direct and Ensure Compliance: You'll direct the functioning of Business Unit and System Level Workplace Violence Flag Review Committees, ensuring compliance with OSHA/TJC standards and HFH Policy. + Coordinate and Unify: Ensure seamless coordination and implementation of WPV initiatives across all markets, fostering a unified and proactive approach to safety. Your experience in harmonizing diverse units towards a common objective will be key. This includes maintaining and overseeing all WPV Flagging Committees and ensuring consistent methodology across all business units. + Analyze and Advise: Provide critical data analysis on workplace violence trends, informing strategic decisions and contributing to our Workplace Violence Governance Council and its sub-committees. You'll maintain a database for Electronic Health Record Workplace Violence Chart Flag review, monitor documentation standards, and review WPV flags with committees to ensure proper determination and documentation. + Innovate and Collaborate: Benchmark with leading healthcare organizations to identify and integrate best practices. You'll actively seek external funding to advance our WPV initiatives, demonstrating resourcefulness and a commitment to continuous improvement. You'll also collaborate with leaders across various departments like Security Services, Behavioral Health, and Risk Management to identify integration and improvement opportunities, constantly looking for new process improvement opportunities. + Train and Empower: Partner with internal and external teams to conduct practical exercises, including gap assessments and active shooter training. You'll be instrumental in equipping our staff with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively to critical situations, serving as a key education and chart review resource. Your communication skills will be crucial in disseminating information on event response, documentation, available resources, and de-escalation techniques, reinforcing leadership's commitment to a safe workplace. You'll also lead the charge in establishing a centralized intranet platform for all WPV-related information. + Maintain Oversight and Communication: You'll monitor and promote the filing of Incident Reports (RLs) for all WPV flags for tracking and ensure all WPV-related RLs have been reviewed. You'll also develop a protocol to communicate WPV flag determinations to the employee who placed the flag. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Safety, Occupational Safety or other field required. • 3-5 years of public safety related experience required. • Clinical experience preferred. • Demonstrate strong relationship management skills. • Demonstrate strong project management and strategic thinking skills. Be selfdirected, innovative, and organized. • Demonstrate teamwork, initiative, and willingness to learn and create new approaches. • Microsoft Office preferred.
