The Workplace Services Lead plays a key role in creating and maintaining a functional, efficient, and visually cohesive environment that aligns with organizational goals. This role is responsible for evaluating space utilization, enhancing workplace services and amenities, and ensuring the environment supports employee engagement, productivity, and adaptability.
Blending design sensibility with operational oversight, the Workplace Services Lead actively shapes the employee experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong skills in vendor management and workplace strategy. They will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support a well-designed, high-performing, and responsive workplace.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
+ Workplace Utilization & OptimizationAssess how employees interact with office spaces, identify underutilized or inefficient areas, and propose thoughtful improvements. Use data, observation, and feedback to recommend space enhancements that support evolving workplace needs.
+ Service & Amenity EvaluationEvaluate workplace services and amenities (e.g., wellness rooms, phone booths, lounges, storage) for effectiveness and usage. Recommend improvements, additions, or removal of underutilized offerings to enhance employee satisfaction and operational value.
+ Furniture & Equipment OversightManage all furniture-related matters, including repairs, warranty claims, and inventory. Coordinate replacements and updates to ensure workspaces are safe, functional, and visually aligned with workplace standards.
+ FM Systems & Database ManagementMaintain accurate facilities management (FM) system data and floor plans using AutoCAD for the Minneapolis Corporate Center.
+ Workplace Communication & SignageMaintain and update temporary and permanent signage to support wayfinding, room identification, and workplace branding. Ensure signage reflects space reconfigurations and organizational updates.
+ Project Management & ImplementationLead small- to mid-scale workplace improvement projects. Coordinate across vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned with design and operational goals. Track milestones, budgets, and deliverables.
+ Layout Standards & Design GuidelinesCollaborate with the Meeting Services Lead and Workplace Solutions Manager to develop and maintain design standards and layout templates for offices, meeting rooms, and collaboration spaces to ensure consistency and efficiency.
+ Cross-Team CollaborationWork closely with other Workplace Services Leads and the Workplace Services Specialist to align physical space planning and services with broader business needs and hybrid work strategies.
+ Continuous Improvement & Strategic PlanningStay informed on trends in workplace design, hospitality, and facilities technology. Contribute thought leadership to support future space planning and evolving workplace experience strategies.
Required Job Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a financial or professional services environment; preferred experience in office and facilities management. Credentialed in or obtain credentialing in facilities management (such as FMP).
+ A minimum of three years of experience in corporate facilities, office management, procurement or similar field.
+ Strong financial acumen related to managing expenses and budgets
+ Interest in employee experience, efficiencies, sustainability, and wellness
+ Detail oriented, strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
+ Effective time management and multi-tasking ability with a strong customer focus.
+ Knowledge of contracts, service level agreements, and vendor management
+ Ability to influence and build trust with individuals of all levels across the organization.
Pay Transparency

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $62,633.00 - $84,739.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
