We are hiring a Workplace Security Specialist for the European Commission in Brussels and various locations around Europe.

Main Responsibilities Conducting security risk assessments in Digital Workplace contextDiagnose potentially complex security-related and/or identity-related issues,Design implement and support effective solutions for mitigating security risks Integrating different security technologies in a complex environment.Integrating end point security solutions but with knowledge of backend server and network infrastructure. Provision of security studies associated with information system projectsSecurity assessments of information systemsEnsure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Information Systems

 

 

Successful Candidate

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree or Higher  

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Ability to give presentationsAbility to apply high quality standards to all tasksAbility to participate in multi-lingual meetings, good communication skillsCapability of working in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in a team, understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functionsNegotiation capabilityAbility to adapt to unplanned changes or decisionsRisk assessment

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

At least 1 years of knowledge of security standards applying to European Commission information systemsAt least 3 years in IT Security Risk Management Methodology, performing risk assessments (Evaluate risks, threats and consequences) based on some known methodology.At least 3 years in IT Security Compliance Management of existing IT security policies.At least 3 years experience in drafting security plans for information systems based on risks assessments.At least 3 years managing IT security vulnerabilities.At least 3 years drafting security policies and contributing to the implementation of the security policy.At least 1 years provide expert support to the investigation of incidents.At least 1 years of knowledge in ServiceNow or equivalent toolAt least 1 years of knowledge in Confluence and Jira
