Workplace Design Lead

As the Workplace Design Lead for the multiyear London HQ project, you will collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to develop and implement workplace design principles that align with the business objectives. That includes managing incoming and outgoing drawings of the contracted vendors and consultants, review of test-fits, construction documents and FFE selections to ensure the London project aligns with global guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

•    Collaborate with Regional Workplace Design Lead and capital management, transaction, occupancy planning teams to develop the real estate strategy for the project
•    Collaborate with design managers from other regions to review lessons learnt and evolution of design to achieve design excellence and global design consistency
•    Engage and lead communication with internal stakeholders and business leaders to develop design programme and requirements 
•    Manage and guide external consultants and project managers to ensure the project is adhering to programme schedules and budgets through each RIBA stage
•    Review all design presentations and construction documents to ensure proposals and details are aligned with global design guidelines, meeting the required performance standards and architectural look & feel
•    Creatively and technically minded, with a strong understanding of the market trends, provide design insights to inform and influence design strategy for the future of workplace 
•    Good understanding of workplace strategy and change management to assist with design evolution and workplace effectiveness 
•    Assists in developing swing strategy, stack and block plans, test-fits, and design solutions related to user requirements


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills


•    Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design along with a successful track record of managing all phases of corporate interiors projects ideally a large scale project
•    Extensive work experience in commercial architecture, interior design, workplace planning and programming and building codes
•    Experience with the entire project lifecycle, through post-occupancy
•    Excellent working knowledge of the commercial FFE industry and related supply chain
•    Applied knowledge of and skills in utilizing AutoCAD software. 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project) and industry standard project management tools
•    Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills as well as excellent oral and written presentation skills
