About the Role
The Workplace Coach plays a critical role in supporting learning and development within Residential Aged Care (RAC) services. This position is responsible for delivering practical training, coordinating staff orientation, and managing the facilitation and administration of both internal and external training programs.
You are a confident and passionate facilitator with a background in training and development, ideally within the aged care or healthcare sector. You have excellent communication and coordination skills and thrive in environments where you can support others to grow and succeed.
Key Role Accountabilities:
Undertake orientation and commencement requirements of all new RAC employees with the introduction to RAC Model of Care as per designated responsibilities guide and checklist.Ensure orientation provided includes all aspects of RAC service orientation through the Workplace Coach Guide.Coordinate and facilitate orientation and internal mandatory training sessions for employees to achieve defined learning objectives. This may include identification, confirmation and prompt reporting of current skills as well as additional skill development if a gap for an employee is identified (only in courses the Workplace Coach is trained in).Support and assist home managers to coordinate and execute the local training calendar.Ensure preparation and equipment is set up to ensure timely training and attendance occurs and maintain updated records to be sent to Learning and Development for the purposes of reporting in preparation for audits.In consultation with the Home Manager/s and/or General Manager – RAC Business Operations, ensure relevant orientation/training meets legislative and regulatory requirements.Support in achieving outcome standards and service delivery practice in accordance with Aged Care Standards, NMQIP, Government regulations, funding bodies and other relevant stakeholder requirements including resident privacy and confidentiality.Actively contribute to continuous quality improvement activities designed to improve the quality of care and services.About You
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or working towards same.Certificate III in Aged Care and willingness to undertake the AED, CPR and First Aid training.Sound experience and capabilities in care practices aligned to the organizational processes.Demonstrated experience in coordinating and delivering workplace orientation.Sound knowledge of the principles of Work Health and Safety practice or willingness to be trained in supporting these functions.Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to prepare reports, liaise, engage, actively listen, and support various stakeholders at all levels, to achieve outcomes, to ensure compliance with legal and mandatory training requirements for staff.Sound time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to be flexible and adaptable to change.Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the principles of privacy and confidentiality.Proficient in computer skills, preferably including the ability to effectively use MS Office and related applications for data entry and record management purposes.What makes a difference for us:
