Working Student for Yield Applications

Your Task 

The Fab1 Manufacturing Inline Control systems team in GF Dresden is currently looking for support for one of the following two topics. Both are related to Yield applications. 

1. Software development and workflow improvements 

​Develop and optimize setup tools to enhance the efficiency and functionality of the yield engineering datamart systems in Fab1.

Collaborate closely with the local team of database experts and data engineers to gather, understand and implement the project requirements. 

Assist in analyzing setup workflows to identify areas for improvement.

Implement the identified changes and new features into existing tools and develop new tools if applicable. 

​Special Required Qualifications:

Java and web programming skills (e.g. JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML, CSS) 

Basic understanding of databases and SQL query development is desirable

2. Software containerization and remote control of applications 

Containerization of existing applications

Deploy applications running in Perl or Apache into Docker container

Identify and develop cron-like task management solution for private cloud container applications (e.g. control applications in Hashicorp Nomad) 

​Special Required Qualifications:

Solid Linux knowledge 

Familiarity with container platforms and knowledge of application runtimes is desirable 

General Required Qualifications 

You are enrolled at a university in one of the following fields of study: computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or a related field

Good problem solving and collaboration skills

Genuine interest in delivering precise and correct solutions

Curious to work in an international team 

Period  

The position is available immediately for a duration of at least 6 months

a maximum of 20 hours/week during the semester and a maximum of 40 hours/week during semester holidays
