The office resettles refugees and provides numerous program services to assist refugees from their arrival through citizenship. Job Overview The Workforce Project Manager coordinates the development, implementation, and completion of all activities related to a new workforce initiative based in Phoenix. This role will oversee the integration of workforce development services across system partners and ensure high-quality, client-centered service delivery that aligns with federal and local standards. Responsibilities include supervision of department staff to ensure program compliance. Major Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to: Program Oversight • Serve as the primary point of contact for the workforce initiative, ensuring integration of workforce development services across partners. • Lead daily operations to meet contractual and program deliverables, fostering a culture of equity, dignity, and results. • Manage the program budget and monitor expenses to remain within allocated limits. • Oversee and continuously improve a robust referral system in collaboration with partners. Staff Supervision & Development • Supervise the Customer Service Supervisor and Specialists, ensuring sites are adequately staffed and provide high-quality customer service. • Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development for team members. • Participate in internal leadership teams and working groups, contributing to organizational initiatives. Partnership Management • Build and maintain strong relationships with key system partners, local educational institutions, and affiliates. • Convene regular partner meetings to align goals and improve coordination. • Represent the program donor in board meetings and serve as liaison to ensure transparency and alignment with workforce goals. Compliance & Performance Management • Monitor program metrics (e.g., referrals, co-enrollments, job placements, outcomes) to guide improvement efforts. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal workforce regulations. • Provide timely reports to the donor x and escalate issues when needed. • Lead daily huddles and check-ins to drive accountability and operational excellence. Community Engagement • Represent the program at community events, forums, and public gatherings. • Promote the program by documenting and sharing success stories and early outcomes. • Lead outreach efforts to community stakeholders, including small businesses and partner organizations. Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (social work, public administration, workforce development, social services, or similar). Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in workforce development, program management, or human services leadership. Working Environment • A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities. • Standard work week with occasional evenings or weekends for community events or partner meetings. • Travel within Maricopa County for partner site visits and events. Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.
