As our Workforce Planner you’ll be responsible for connecting people to the experiences which enrich the lives and careers of our Assurance professionals. Working as part of a broader Oceania resource team, you will be responsible for applying consistent resource planning across a range of engagements for our New Zealand client practice and will work closely with the business to ensure all staffing needs are met. You will be overseeing client portfolio of our resources across our Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington offices.

 

Reporting into the Operations Manager, this coordinator role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their stakeholder engagement skills and take the next step in their career. 

 

This permanent, full-time role is based in our Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) office. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

 

Ko Tō Rourou | Your key responsibilities

 

Stakeholder and Relationship management – responsible for managing key relationships within and across Assurance.  Opportunity and Demand – work with engagement managers to actively allocate resources, challenge hours, timing and flexibility of engagements to find suitable resources.  Resource management – actively managing our available resources, understanding their capability and proactively identifying opportunities and resolving resourcing conflicts.  Resource optimisation – highlighting capability across the team and wider Assurance to optimise performance and meeting engagement metrics.  Developing and analysing resource management reports – engagement planning trends, utilisation, production.  Identifying and implementing improvements in resourcing processes and reporting. 

 

Ngā Pūkenga | Skills and attributes for success

 

Experience with resource management and/or supply and demand management within professional services.  Ability to understand the business and learn the unique skills, needs and goals of our people.  Ability to find the right opportunities and connections to create diverse, inclusive and high-performing teams.  Able to optimise business performance by advocating solutions, providing insights and managing expectations in pursuit of increasing utilisation and employee engagement.  Experience in using MS Excel and information/data analysis with a high degree of accuracy. 

 

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn. 

 

Confident communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.  Ability to adapt to changing priorities within the business and operational market.  Strong conflict resolution and negotiating skills to balance individual and business needs.  Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong personal integrity and ability to work autonomously.
