Job DescriptionPosition Summary
The Workers’ Compensation Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the administration of Aspen One’s workers’ compensation program. This includes collecting incident information from Aspen One managers and employees, managing claims with Aspen One’s Third Party Administrator, communicating with local medical providers, and coordinating return-to-work programs with claimants. The Workers’ Compensation Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Employee Safety & Workers’ Compensation and Aspen One Legal Department to resolve claims as efficiently and cost effectively as possible. This position reports to the Director of Employee Safety and Workers Compensation.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
Administer and manage all workers’ compensation claims from initial report through resolution.Serve as primary liaison between Aspen One, injured employees, Third Party Administrator (TPA), legal representatives, and medical providers.Monitor open claims for timely closure and cost containmentEnsure compliance with applicable state workers’ compensation lawsAnalyze claims data to identify trends, high risk areas, and opportunities for safety improvement.Coordinate and manage return-to-work and light duty programs.Collaborate with Human Resources, Operations Managers, and Director of Safety to investigate workplace incidents and recommend preventative measures.Assist in preparing reports for senior leadership regarding claim trends, costs, and program effectiveness.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation & Experience Requirements
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field3 or more years of experience in workers’ compensation claims management, insurance claims, or risk managementKnowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficient knowledge of Workers’ Compensation insurance and claims management.Experience with Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) and Third Party Administrator (TPA) systemsStrong data analytics skills with a focus on identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.Ability to work collaboratively with senior management and operational managers across Aspen One (Parent Company), Aspen Snowmass (Ski Area Operations), Aspen Hospitality (Hotel Operations), and Aspen Collection (experiential and retail operations).Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with a team.Additional InformationWork Environment and Physical Demands
