As a Workday Systems Specialist – Payroll, you’ll play a critical role in supporting, configuring, and optimizing the Workday platform with a focus on Payroll, Core HCM, Absence, Talent/Performance, and Compensation modules. This position helps drive automation, continuous improvement, and self-service across HR systems. Working closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders, you'll ensure the system delivers accurate data, enhances process efficiency, and supports strategic initiatives. This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within Canada What you will be doing: Configure and support Workday Payroll, Absence, Core HCM, Talent/Performance, and Compensation modules to meet business and compliance needs. Design, document, test, and implement functional tasks and enhancements, focusing on automation, continuous improvement, and self-service. Develop and maintain payroll and audit reports, support year-end processing, and ensure timely and accurate data extraction. Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve errors. Research new Workday features, recommend updates, and ensure system documentation, training, and user support are up to date. We’re looking for someone with: Over 3 years of experience configuring Workday US Payroll, Absence, and at least one additional area (Core HCM, Compensation, or Talent). Strong analytical skills with a focus on data integrity, issue resolution, and reporting accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver solutions efficiently, and support system releases and upgrades. Effective collaboration skills, with a strong customer service mindset and ability to partner across HR, IT, and business teams. Proven ability to deliver scalable system solutions aligned with business needs, compliance standards, and governance policies. Why work for us? The pay range for this position is between $85,000-$90,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
