Workday HCM Analyst

Job Description

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Finance Systems, the Workday HCM Analyst supports the Workday Operations team focusing on Benefits and Payroll. The position provides day-to-day operations, processes improvements as well as special projects and assignments. The Analyst assists with the creation of data loads into Workday and running system audits for data validation. The position is also responsible for troubleshooting end user issues and support of system testing.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain, audit, and analyze Workday HCM configurations and business processes including Core HCM, Payroll, and Benefits.

Support Year End Processing including W2, 1095, ACA, Open Enrollment, and Annual Benefit plan updates.

Partner with HCM process owners to streamline Workday Configuration and Business Processes.

Provide production support, resolutions to unexpected results, and alternative methods to meet requirements related to Workday Payroll and Benefits.

Provide training, create user guides, system workflows, standard operating procedures, and other support materials.

Data loads using Enterprise Interface Builder.

Reconcile, audit, and validate Payroll/Benefit data to ensure accuracy in all processes and reporting.

Develop appropriate communication with user community to ensure transfer of operational, procedural, and policy information.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field.  Relevant IT certifications/equivalent experience in an information systems role may be considered in lieu of degree.

Minimum of four years of relevant professional experience with Workday HCM Payroll/Benefits including business process configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting.

Strong project management skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments with critical deadlines and changing priorities. 

PREFERRED:

Minimum of three years of experience in a higher education setting.

Knowledge of Workday Finance, Student, Reports and Integrations.

Ability to work independently as well as lead teams.

Ability to think clearly and accurately resolve processing problems under pressure.

Salary Range

$104,807.39-$123,038.79 Annually
