About the Role
Our consultants work closely with client stakeholders during deployments and after go-live to help them succeed and maximize their investment in Workday. As a Workday Financials Lead Consultant, you will leverage your expertise across advisory and implementation to support projects. This is a hands-on role that requires certified consultants with a positive, can-do attitude who want to lead and grow with our UST Workday practice.
The Opportunity and Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Support: Provide support for Workday Financials (Record to Report, Contract to Cash, and Procure to Pay), including troubleshooting and resolving issues. Lead Implementation Activities: Take charge of design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities during Workday Financials deployment projects. Ongoing Client Support: For production clients, monitor daily schedulers, reports, and integration errors, working with client teams to resolve and address these items. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and other functional/technical consultants throughout the implementation process, configuring the system in line with design specifications and Workday methodologies. Work under Deadlines: Work effectively under time-critical deadlines while handling competing priorities. Leadership: Build, support, and provide leadership for UST’s global Workday Financials practice. This role will eventually have multiple direct reports. Support Pre-sales & GTM Activities: Contribute to pre-sales and Go-To-Market (GTM) activities around UST’s Workday Financials offerings.What You Need
Certifications: Multiple active Workday Financial certifications (equivalent pro-certifications are acceptable). As a Workday partner, UST can maintain and expand your Workday certifications. Experience Required: 5+ years of Workday experience in a support or delivery role across at least 2 Workday financial deployments. Hands-on experience configuring end-to-end financial processes including, but not limited to, FDM (Foundational Data Model), Supplier and Customer Accounts, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivable, Projects, and Revenue Management. Experience leading Workday Financials design and customer confirmation sessions. A solid understanding of Workday financial integrations and related APIs. Supported integrated testing strategies and coordinated testing efforts with end-users.Outcomes:
Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components. Identify the problem patterns and improve the technical design of the application/system Optimizes efficiency cost and quality. Interpret the application/feature/component design to develop the same in accordance with specifications. Validate results with user representatives integrates and commissions the overall solution. Influence and improve customer satisfaction through effects like (but not limited to) offering suggestions for code refactoring and for improvements in business processes completing sprint deliverables ahead of time helping client architects and product owners by way of design suggestions and/or explaining functionality to business stakeholders etc. Influence and improve employee engagement within the project teams Learn and implement newly released technology features wherever possible. Attend industry/technology specific conferences (if any) and share knowledge with the team. Conduct peer reviews and demand high quality standards from the reviewed deliverables. Contribute to ERP/CRM Practice related activities like (but not limited to) assembling content for case studies contributing to reusability coordinating internal seminars and conducting knowledge sharing sessions during organizing sessions and participating in hackathons etc. Conduct technical assessments for hiring candidates in architect/lead roles. Review design and ensure adoption of industry best practices Design execute and maintain business domain solution architecture Guide and review technical delivery by internal teams Resolve delivery and design issues. Own the design of a complex module for projects of the following nature: architecture enhancements/mid-sized development projects/maintenance projects Serve as technology and process expert Use expertise and skills in enterprise solutions technologies to develop/enhance the ERP/CRM Practice.
