Workday Application Engineer
**Chevron’s Business Support Center (BASSC), located in Buenos Aires, is accepting applications for the position of COCO Workday Application Engineer.** Successful candidates will join the IT Organization, which is part of a multifunction service center with a workforce of more than 1700 employees that deliver business services and solutions to the corporation across the globe. This role is responsible for supporting and optimizing Workday modules related to Human Capital Management (HCM), with a focus on Time Tracking, Payroll, Scheduling, and Advanced Compensation. The analyst will serve as a liaison between HR, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure Workday solutions align with organizational goals and compliance requirements. **Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:** + **System Configuration & Support:** + Configure and maintain Workday modules including HCM Core, Talent, Time Tracking, Payroll, Scheduling, and Advanced Compensation + Manage compensation components such as base salary, bonus plans, merit increases, stock grants, and one-time payments + Support payroll integrations and ensure data accuracy across pay groups, earnings, deductions, and benefits + Support Custom Report and Workday Dashboard development and ensure data reporting and accuracy across all Workday modules + **Business Process Management:** + Analyze and document business processes and requirements for enhancements or new functionality. + Collaborate with HR, Finance and Operations teams to streamline workflows and improve data integrity. + Participate in the annual Pay Determination cycle, including planning, merit reviews, and compensation statement distribution + Support Business Process configurations for all Workday modules, including configuring and maintaining steps and approvals. + **Reporting & Analytics:** + Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Workday’s reporting tools and Prism Analytics + Conduct ad hoc analysis and audits to support compensation equity and compliance + **Stakeholder Engagement:** + Act as a subject matter expert and provide training or guidance to HR partners and end-users. + Partner with cross-functional teams to support system upgrades, testing, and change management. + **Scheduling & Time Tracking:** + Oversee scheduling configurations, including Scheduling Organization configurations, worker availability, shift assignments, and notifications + Ensure accurate time entry, approvals, and payroll processing through Workday Time Tracking + **Workday Release Assessment and Testing** + Assess Workday Releases and new functionality, understanding and communicating the impacts to the all business processes. + Collaborate with MSP, HR, Finance and Operations teams to develop testing plan and oversee the completion of testing for releases and new functionality **Required Qualifications:** + Hands-on experience developing or supporting solutions using Workday HCM, specifically in Payroll, Time Tracking, Scheduling, and Advanced Compensation within other modules. + Proficient communication and facilitation skills with the ability to convey business and technical information to a diverse audience. + Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to engage difficulties with persistence. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Experience with Report Writer. + Ability to communicate with business to understand, gather, and document requirements. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience working with Agile methodologies. + Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) and API integrations. + Experience with SaaS applications. + Familiarity with integration patterns (API, Messaging). + Knowledge of Workday Extend. **Technical Competencies:** + Application Maintenance + Release Management + System and Technology Integration + Technical Troubleshooting + Testing **Professional Competencies:** + Analytical Thinking + Business Acumen + Learning Agility **Relocation Options:** Relocation **could be** considered. **International Considerations:** Expatriate assignments **will not be** considered.
