This position will prepare simple to highly complex temporary traffic control and pavement marking plans, and to provide field support to construction field staff for plan implementation. Examples of work for this specific vacancy include but are not limited to: • Produce temporary traffic control (TTC) and pavement marking plans using OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and SignCAD. • Prepare traffic control layout drawings as needed. • Prepare construction speed limit reductions. • Prepare Detour Agreement documentation. • Provide on-site evaluation and recommendations to address field problems, construction staging or plan revisions. • Monitor work zone crashes using available crash data. • Review TTC device placement • Perform field reviews and collect field information from simple to highly complex projects. This position is located at district headquarters in Roseville and has the flexibility to work in the office or a hybrid schedule that includes in office and teleworking time. If working a hybrid schedule, the incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor. **Minimum Qualifications** + Four years of experience performing Traffic Engineering activities that included at least two years of experience utilizing computer-aided drafting and designing (CADD). OR + Three years of experience performing Traffic Engineering activities that included at least two years of experience utilizing computer-aided drafting and designing (CADD) AND one year of experience in any of the following areas: road maintenance, road construction, design, surveying, materials/soils, right of way, sign repair/installation and/or permits. + A Two year Civil or Construction Technology Degree or equivalent may substitute for one year of experience. Degree equivalencies include the following four-year degrees: Architectural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering; Land Surveying / Geomatics. (In order for education coursework to be considered in lieu of work experience you must submit a copy of your transcripts). + Working knowledge of English sufficient to read, write, speak and understand oral and written information; communicate with employees and the general public in-person or via two-way radio and other electronic devices; and to maintain routine written logs and simple records.
