Work Order Specialist
Position Summary

Our Deloitte Strategy & Transactions team helps guide clients through their most critical moments and transformational initiatives. From strategy to execution, this team delivers integrated, end-to-end support and advisory services covering valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, government operations modernization, business design and transformation, infrastructure and real estate, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and sustainability. Work alongside clients every step of the way, helping them navigate new challenges, avoid financial pitfalls, and provide practical solutions at every stage of their journey—before, during, and after any major transformational projects or transactions. 


Work you’ll do 

This is an exciting project opportunity to support the client with project management for a large-scale program to elevate, reconstruct, or retrofit up to 2,500 residential homes. The Payment Specialist will be responsible for reviewing invoices from Inspectors, Construction Contractors, and Temporary Housing vendors; assessing compliance with the program; and authorizing payments. 

• Engage with the Operations team in daily and biweekly calls to streamline invoice and payment oversight 

• Follow payment processing standards to review and track vendor invoices 

• Escalate risks and schedule delays to appropriate leaders

 Qualifications 

Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field 

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future 

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role 

• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

• 2+ years of experience in payment processing or accounting 

Preferred: 

• Experience with FEMA programs and HMGP
