Dow has an exciting opportunity for aWork Activity Coordinator LeadinMidland, MI! The Michigan Operations Maintenance Team is looking for a dedicated individual to coordinate skilled trades. This role is crucial in ensuring maximum reliability and cost efficiency for our plant partners. By leveraging your expertise, you will play a vital part in maintaining the seamless operation of our facilities, ultimately contributing to the success and sustainability of our operations.
About you:
Ensures work activities are carried out safely in an effective and efficient way. Manages productivity of the team that performs the task. Requires advanced skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures, and systems, and/or specialized technical expertise within an analytical/scientific method or operational process to perform a broad range of complex work assignments. May act as a working team lead, providing subject matter guidance and coordinating work of others.
Your Responsibilities:
+ Act as maintenance focal point for plant partners – coordinates Dow and Contractor trades
+ Reviews job packages and prepares to do the task.
+ Assists in allocation of resources for resource leveraging.
+ Initiates the work permit procedure, as necessary.
+ Reports the progress of the daily work to enable adjustments to the work schedule when needed. Reviews work status with service providers and originators and adjusts schedule as required.
+ Reassigns person scheduled to perform work to the next job, in the event the equipment is not prepared for maintenance on originally assigned job.
+ Confirms that all scheduled job sequences, work and paperwork for the job have all been completed. Closes work order.
+ Returns equipment to operations.
+ Performs the role of shift procedure use focal point for maintenance activity.
+ For Priority Work, serves as a planner and follows the planner responsibilities
+ Reviews completed job packets and quality form; ensures non-conformances are used where required. Coaches tradespersons when completed procedures/checklists/equipment repair forms are not filled out correctly.
+ Conducts field audits to assure procedures are being used according to the local Maintenance Procedure Use Policy.
+ Delivers 100% Maintenance Compliance Task completion and performs shop audits
Required Qualifications:
+ A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
+ 4+ Years of relevant experience
+ Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position
+ Participate in maintenance staff on call
+ A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Prior Military experience
+ Operations or Skilled Trades experience
+ Maintenance and / or Activity planning and coordination experience
+ Demonstrated supervision/influential leadership skills within work groups
Physical Demands:
Willing and able to meet physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:
+ Wear safety equipment, such as hardhat, earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes
+ Perform infrequent bending, reaching, and lifting
+ Stand or walk for extended periods of time
+ Individual must be physically able to work in the field including but not limited to climbing ladders, scaffold, stairs and lifting (Not to exceed 50 lbs.)

+ Coordinating Tasks:Coordinating Tasks is the ability to simultaneously plan and carry out a variety of actions, plans, and activities, focusing on how well one can use attention to detail skills while considering how minor details fit into a larger project.
+ Maintenance Repair:Maintenance Repair and Operations activities in relation to production equipment include actions like routine maintenance work, emergency maintenance, spare parts inventory control, purchasing condition monitoring equipment, and vendor management/feedback.
+ Maintenance Software: Maintenance software as a skill involves the ability to effectively use and manage computerized maintenance management systems (such as SAP / Primavera) and other related software tools to streamline maintenance operations. This skill is crucial for ensuring the efficient and effective management of maintenance activities, including scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
+ Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work: Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work is the process of organizing work, setting priorities, determining resource requirements, and implementing strategic plans on a daily basis while recognizing the interdependencies of activities and resources.
+ Influencing Skills:Influencing skills refer to the ability to bring people round to a certain way of thinking about a certain topic, without force or coercion whilst acknowledging their opinions.
+ Communication: Professional communication, encompasses written, oral, visual and digital communication within a workplace maintenance and production operation. Provide updates across the organization to plant partners and maintenance organization for prioritization and improvements
