The woodworker is responsible for manufacturing Emtek’s wooden retailer displays. The woodworker will work in our woodshop along with operating our equipment that can include and not limited to the table saw, chop saws, band saws etc.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform production tasks in a wood shop environment such as cutting and assembling parts to manufacture products according to specification.Operate equipment such as table saws, chop saws, band saws, radial arm saw, drill press, *nail guns, staple guns, and forklifts to perform tasks required to meet production requirements.Use a tape measure proficiently* to determine dimensions and to ensure accuracy.Adhere to all company policy and procedures including quality and safety standards.Support other tasks and different work areas as production needs require.Must be able to lift 50 lbs.QualificationsExperience in a Wood Shop or Manufacturing Environment
Previous experience performing production tasks involving cutting, assembling, and handling wood products preferred.
Proficient in Operating Woodworking Equipment
Ability to safely and effectively operate equipment such as:
Table saws, chop saws, band saws, radial arm saws
Drill presses, nail guns, staple guns
Forklifts (forklift certification is a plus)
Strong Measurement Skills
Proficient in using a tape measure with accuracy and consistency to meet production specifications.
Knowledge of Safety and Quality Standards
Understanding and adherence to safety protocols and quality control procedures in a manufacturing setting.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
Must be able to stand, bend, and work on feet for extended periods
