Responsibilities Construct high-quality roof and floor trusses by following engineering specs and blueprints. Safely operate saws, nail guns, presses, and other equipment to assemble trusses efficiently. Inspect lumber, plates, and finished trusses to ensure they meet strength and safety standards. Work alongside skilled assemblers, helping each other hit daily production targets. Load, unload, and organize materials to maintain a smooth workflow. Follow strict safety protocols, wear PPE, and report hazards immediately. Adjust assembly techniques when needed to fix errors and reduce waste. Keep tools and workstations clean, reporting any equipment issues right away. Willingness to take on overtime or shift changes when production demands it. Qualifications High school diploma/GED 1–3 yrs truss assembly, framing, wood, or carpentry Proficient with hand/power tools (saws, nail guns, drills, presses) Basic understanding of CAD-based truss design software (a plus) Ability to use measuring devices (tape measures, calipers, laser levels) Must be able to read blueprints & use power tools Lift 50+ lbs., stand for full shifts Forklift or OSHA certification PPE required, including steel toe boots and hi-visibility vest Carpentry/construction training is desirable Valid Class 5 Driver's License a must Reliable personal transportation a must Able to pass background check a must Employment Details Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM Location: Rocky View County (Calgary), Alberta Contract: 4 to 6 months, with potential for extension or permanent placement Hours: 42 hours per week, with overtime available depending on business need Compensation: Weekly pay Work Setting: Onsite Interested in Wood Assembler (Truss) role in Rocky View County (Calgary), Alberta?
