Position Title: Women’s Resident Assistant

Corps/Unit Mission Statement: Revolution Hawaii is a residential, academic and practical program designed to disciple young men and women as well train and equip them for Christian urban and world missions. Upon completion, this intensive course will return participants to the world as relevant, active and effective disciples of Christ.
JOB SUMMARY: The role of the Resident and Administrative Assistant is essential in this development. The person in this position will be charged with the responsibility of modeling and providing hands-on experience for delegates in the program. The key function of this position will be to form and give participatory supervision to ministry teams, with the ultimate goal of developing core competencies in spiritual disciplines and urban and world missions. The person filling this role must possess high organizational skills, a tremendous work ethic and a heart for this ministry.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must have at least 3 years of Urban or World Mission experience or Be a graduate of Revolution Hawaii
Must possess high organizational skills
Must have basic computer skills
Must have a basic knowledge of the organizational structure and terminology of The Salvation Army
Must have experience in team ministry
Must possess a basic knowledge of Salvation Army programs
Must possess a valid and clean driver’s license
Must live at Camp Homelani
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Coordination of community life functions of Revolution Hawaii Teach classes as assigned Participate in further training as agreed upon with Directors Develop and implement informal worship and prayer opportunities Act as a team leader of a ministry team as assigned by theDirectors
Assist in the development and implementation of mission opportunities Assist in development of curriculum vital for delegates Act as house supervisor for female delegates Act as leader for spiritual formation group Drive for Revolution Hawaii activities as necessary and maintain Revolution Hawaii vehicles Assist in recruitment as assigned by directors Participate in staff meetings Conducts interviews with potential delegates as assigned by Directors Assist in seminars, retreats and conferences as assigned Act as a part of the leadership team and model Christian ethics Monitors and assists in coordination of calendars for directors and overall program Prepares reports as required Assists directors in the preparation and annual update of Revolution Hawaiihandbook
Assists in preparation of program materials May be asked to participate in other ministry aspects must live at Camp Homelani
