Job Summary
The WMS Lead will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Warehouse Management System. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in the field of IT, with a strong background in Blue Yonder implementation, and a good level of proficiency in the English language. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, capable of leading cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.
The WMS Lead will report to the IT Director for the Region but she/he will have a dotted line into the Contract Logistics Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end implementation of the Warehouse Management System, including planning, configuration, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop detailed project plans.
Manage and optimize the WMS to ensure efficient warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working closely with IT and operations teams to ensure minimal disruption to warehouse activities.
Conduct regular system audits and performance reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Provide training and support to warehouse staff and other users to ensure effective use of the WMS.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in WMS technology to recommend and implement best practices.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, user manuals, and training materials.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices related to warehouse operations and WMS.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Over 5 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on Warehouse Management Systems.
Experience with Blue Yonder implementation
Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing WMS solutions in a warehouse environment.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in WMS software and related technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
Good level of proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is a plus.
