Job OverviewUnder general supervision, provides prompt and courteous wine service to restaurant and lounge customers.
Responsibilities Circulate through the assigned area, recommends and serves wine to guests.Manages the daily activities necessary for maintenance and promotion of the organization's wine collection.Ring guest checks, collect cash and process credits and room charges in the exact manner outlined by company policies and procedures.Increase revenue by Training Team Members to up-sell, and other suggestive procedures.Decrease expenses through proper handling of product, and other suggestive procedures.Works with the culinary team to develop food and wine pairings.Identifies and purchases wines for the organization.Monitors the conditions of the wine cellar, ensuring optimal storage.Follow and practice all alcoholic beverage laws, policies and regulations.Maintain a clean and safe work area.Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner; maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction.May perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsEducation/Formal Training
Bartending training and certification, TIPS Certified. Sommelier Certification
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar job.
Knowledge/Skills
Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.Physical Demands
