Based in our Shakopee, MN location, you will provide support from initial product idea to the delivery and support of products to obtain and manage all parts of the Telecommunications approvals process for our Wireless Products.
Emerson’s Wireless products are a peripheral technology used for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Our customers include top oil & gas, petroleum, chemical, power, water and wastewater, mining, food & beverage and pharmaceutical companies. Specifically, our products transmit pressure, temperature, flow, level, and other critical measurements wirelessly back to a control system.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Provide technical expertise and strategic guidance to cross-functional and cross-business unit teams, with regards to international regulatory requirements and broadcast standards as they implement Wireless protocols in their portfolio of devices.
Acquire new and renewal international spectrum certifications, by collaborating and coordinating with 3rd party consultants.
Keep abreast of external industry standards and support and implement control requirements
Direct cross functional resources, coordinating testing with RF test laboratories to demonstrate compliance to FCC/ISED/RED standards.
Work closely with design and test engineering to ensure new product design and documentation meets international regulatory standards for RF Spectrum and EMC compliance.
Prepare detailed multi-year plans including resources, costs, and schedule necessary to maintain portfolio certification requirements.
Apply technical expertise, commensurate with moderate training and job experience and effectively communicate project status including issues
Understand regulatory requirements which affect design and manufacture of products

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science from and engineering school
Minimum of two (2) years of applicable experience
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
ABET-accredited engineering degree
Telecommunications approvals/RF compliance testing and/or submissions experience or knowledge

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $85,000-$120,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
