Windows System Administrator
Job Description An Insight Global employer is seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator to lead patch management initiatives across enterprise Windows Server and Desktop OS environments. This role is critical in ensuring the security and stability of IT infrastructure through effective patching strategies and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities will include: Lead patch management efforts for Windows Server and Desktop OS environments. Administer patching using tools such as BigFix (preferred), SCCM, or similar. Support patching across:    Windows 10 & 11    Microsoft Edge    Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022    SQL Server 2016 Collaborate with facility contacts and client leadership to ensure seamless execution. Drive process development and documentation. Participate in customer calls and provide technical guidance. Create and maintain documentation for patching processes. Occasional weekend work required (with a weekday off provided in exchange). Initial focus on establishing and refining patching processes. Skills and Requirements 35+ years of experience in Windows system administration and patch management. Proficiency with patching tools such as BigFix, SCCM, or equivalent. Strong communication skills and ability to interface with client leadership. Experience in Operational Technology (OT) environments is a plus.
