Job Description:

Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.

Responsibilities:

Load and unload anilox rollers into the grinding machine safelyPlan details of work order proceduresGather required tools and materials based on instructions and specificationsFabricate various items and equipment using cutting, burning and welding techniques and equipmentMonitor the welding, burning and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damagedNotify supervisor of faulty equipment or defective materialOperate and use overhead cranes safely

Education: High School

Experience: 12 months

Physical:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbsMust be able to stand for extended periods of time

Skills:

Understanding of welding machines and tools including design, uses, maintenance and repairUnderstanding of metallurgyAbility to weld components that are vertical, flat or overheadAbility to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of formsBasic understanding of mathematics as related to weldingBasic understanding and reading of blueprints Ability to review and understand mechanical blueprints
