In this role, you will:
Be familiar with the relevant workpacks, drawings, weld maps and weld procedures for allocated.Verify welders, weld equipment, weld consumables, and weld procedures are current and correct for taskMonitor welding parameters and conduct visual inspections, prior to, during, and post weldingConduct visual testing of weld area preparation, welding and on completed weldsAdvise of non-conformances as early as possibleComplete daily progress reporting as requiredEnsure weld repair procedures are followed as requiredProvide professional advice as required, both written and verbalDemonstrate a willingness and capability to perform other duties as deemed appropriate and consistent with your professional qualifications, skill or experience.Witness when required weld procedure qualification welder qualification testing.To be considered for the role, you will hold the following skills and experience:
Welding Inspector (WTIA Certified Welding Inspector, WTIA Certified Senior Welding Inspector, CSWIP Level 3.1 Welding Inspector, AWS Certified Welding Inspector, IIW International Welding Inspector – Standard IWI-S)Experience with Structural welding AWS D1.1 would help but not essentialStrong technical skills and experience, preference for experience within offshore oil gas industryFunctional use of Microsoft Office applicationsWell-developed communication skills, both written and verbalPositive attitude with a focus on problem solvingAbility to work harmoniously in close confinesWhat We Offer
