Welder Weekends only **Location:** Theodore, AL, United States, 36582 **Company:** Chart Industries **_What Will You Do?_** + Independently performs moderate to complex welding activities, including hand welding and material handling equipment + Welds metal parts on fixtures including attaching jigs and clamps to hold metal parts in proper position + Determines type and gauge of steel to be welded making appropriate heat adjustments, as required, on large thickness variations + Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels, as well as correct components installed on the finished product + Updates and maintains all required documentation associated with job responsibilities + Assume responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment + Maintains a clean work area and general housekeeping standards, such as care for assigned tools and proper disposal of hazardous waste + Understands and practices established safety and quality standard procedures, including utilization of chemical solutions to clean containers + Performs all tasks to ISO standards and requirements + May be required to perform mass spec and visual inspections meeting stringent visual requirements + Performs other duties as assigned (Examples include – helping to mix paint or insulating a tank). **_Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…_** + Work shift: Friday/Saturday/Sunday + First shift: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM + Second shift: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM + _Overtime as needed_ **PHYSICAL DEMANDS:** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
