Casual Role: DIDO outage, located at Tarong Power Station in Tarong, QLDProject Dates: Start date from early September, running approximately until November.Roster: Monday to Saturday, Days/Nights, 11-hour shifts.Competitive Rate: EBA rates $70.15 p/h (including 25% casual loading) + OT Penalties (from base rate) + Site Allowance.Other Benefits: Join a supportive team delivering Downers Callide outage. Downer's Energy & Utilities business is seeking casual Special Class Welders to provide outage services at Tarong Power Station in Tarong, QLD. Starting in early September 2025, Downer will offer mechanical and project services throughout the outage period. As a Special Class Welder, you will apply your expertise in piping setup, structural and welding fabrication, ensuring that all work is completed safely, effectively, and to the required standards.

Site Proficient: Experienced in outages and projects in the power generation or heavy industrial sectorTeam Oriented: Have an ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skillsWorkplace Safety: Committed to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and your colleaguesQualifications: Enter and work in confined spaces (RIIWHS202E), Working at heights (RIIWHS204E) (within 2 years), Construction white cardTrade certificate: All Welding qualifications will be required to complete an onsite weld test.PLEASE NOTE – Current casual employees do not need to re-apply, you will be contacted by our Resourcing and Experience Business Partner for outage work.
