Welder Mechanic
**Welder Mechanic** **Job Description** The Welder Mechanic will work on tanker trucks carrying petroleum, responsible for fabricating, repairing damaged parts, and troubleshooting issues. This role requires experience with welding large equipment and repairing welds, while aluminum welding experience is considered a plus. **Responsibilities** + Fabricate and repair parts on tanker trucks. + Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues on tanker trucks. + Perform welding tasks, including aluminum welding when necessary. + Conduct repairs and maintenance primarily in the shop, with occasional field service repairs. **Essential Skills** + Experience with welding on large equipment. + Proficiency in repair welding. + Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with aluminum welding. + Knowledge of shop/ag welding. + Familiarity with mechanics related to trailers, tanks, hoses, and conveyors. **Why Work Here?** This small shop provides a great opportunity to start your career as a mechanic specializing in tanker trucks, offering a supportive environment and the chance to work with a nationwide company. **Work Environment** The work environment consists of a shop with approximately 15 employees working on tanker configurations. This is part of a nationwide company with a total workforce of about 350 employees. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stockton, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
