Primary Duties & Responsibilities: + Follow ValvKeep and Quality Standardization Procedures for all aspects of the valve repair process + Familiar with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and able to recognize a contaminated valve + Learn company Welding specifications and certifications + Learn valve repair according to company standards + Introductory learning of various shop equipment (rod oven, temp probes, flow meters, PMI, etc) Positional Requirements & Qualifications: + Education & Experience + HS Education or GED equivalent + Welding trade school graduate or up to two years' experience as a certified welder + Skills & Abilities + Meets all Welder qualifications and requirements outlined in Welder job description + Successful completion of Welder Level I Written and Performance Test + A clear understanding of Welding safety + Demonstrates proper use of Personal Protective equipment (PPE) + Basic understanding of Welding principals and applications + Demonstrate flame cutting, plasma arc cutting and gouging techniques / skills. + Basic oral & written communication skills + Ability to communicate professionally with customers as a representative of the company. + Demonstrated understanding of the field job process + Demonstrated "can do" attitude and excellent customer service skills + Supervision: + Close Supervision Required + Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines + Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening Essential Physical Functions: + Lifting: up to 50 pounds + Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions + Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feet + Bending, stooping, walking and climbing stairs + Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps + Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces + Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods + Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another + Communicating with others to exchange information + Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers + Operating machinery and/or power tools + Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment + Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned + Required physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory requirements + Able to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore)
