**Welder A** **$17.75 per hour** **7:00am-4:00pm** **Job Description** Welds and assembles metal components by using various types of welding equipment and techniques to fit the application. **Job Responsibilities** + Weld materials such as steel and aluminum + Responsible for Join beams in the construction of structures, bus duct, and others according to provided drawing + Determine welding position and type of metal to be fused ensuring welds meet standards and specifications + Dimensionally lay out beam or channel by using a variety of methods + Follow detailed instructions, processes and procedures + Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company’s Quality System. + Comply with all company safety and security policies including use of PPE. + Performs other duties as assigned + Work overtime as required **Required Qualifications, Education, Skills and/or Experience** + High School Diploma or GED + Or, relevant work experience including 2 years of previous welding experience + AWS certification + Must be able to work with little or no supervision in a safe and efficient manner + Experienced in the proper and safe use of hand and light power tools + Able to read engineering structural drawings + Able to lift parts weighing in excess of 50 pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in bending, squatting and standing positions (includes working off ladders) for long periods of time (in excess of one hour) **Preferred Qualifications, Education, Skills and/or Experience** + Effective communication skills: verbal and written (English) + Follow written and/or oral instructions in English + Pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
