Based in Brenham, TX you will perform manual-, semi-automatic-, and robotic welding of process connections to common assembly’s, according to our quality requirements, specifications, and certification requirements.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Welds production and more difficult prototype instrumentation piece parts and specialized customer requests in various materials including stainless steel, precious and semi-precious metals using various types of welding processes which may include TIG and /or MIG. Welds on high cost, precious materials such as high nickel content Alloy, Monel, Tantalum for special production needs and maintains certification in these specialized product areas. Provides welding expertise support to other welders. May train other welders to help them obtain necessary certification. Advises Engineering on technical welding aspects of new units and fixtures including set-ups. Trouble shoots problem-welding areas. Welds must pass destructive and non-destructive testing based on certification requirements per individual product. Must maintain individual welding qualification and certification per product requirements, which ranges from annual certification to ongoing qualification based on percentage of product volume. Sets up fixtures and lays out work for production and prototype piece parts. Defines equipment settings based on specific product needs and establishes process parameters Provides welding services to other product lines in other departments as required. May support development of new welding techniques and processes. May communicate with outside welding resources or vendors. Performs work of a miscellaneous nature as required.Who You Are:

High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) Experience in precision instrument welding is preferred. Related manufacturing welding experience
