Responsibilities:

Proficiency in GTAW, SMAW, RMD, SAW, and GMAW Processes, with emphasis on carbon steel, nickel-based alloys, and occasional stainless steel preferred. Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office suite. Proficient in blueprint reading and welding symbols. Familiarity with welding specifications and company product line. Understanding of standard tools, materials, and practices within the welding industry. Develop and administer instructional and hands-on training sessions for welders, covering welding techniques, safety practices, and quality standards. Create, update, and revise training documentation, records, and the Welder Training Database to align with changing industry and customer demands. Ensure compliance with weld processes and procedures according to regulatory and customer standards. Emphasize quality as a vital component of customer satisfaction and provide training to ensure adherence. Train employees on safety protocols related to welding and ensure strict compliance with safety policies. Provide guidance and expertise during production welding and manufacturing processes. Evaluate and communicate results of distributor weld tests. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. Delegates work assignments; Matches the responsibility to the person; Sets expectations and monitors delegated activities Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Excel; Word; and Outlook. Knowledgeable in the assembly process of major fabricated components. Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Participates in meetings. Writes clearly and informatively; Able to read and interpret written information. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization.

Skills:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Computer-savvy with the ability to effectively utilize various software tools. Positive role model, demonstrating safety, quality, and technique during training and execution.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work 40hrs a week minimum. Normal hours 11:00am to 7:30pm Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Possess good hand-eye coordination. Able to bend, squat, twist, and kneel. Proficient in using hand and power tools. Familiarity with common weld inspection tools such as V-WAC and fillet weld gauges

Education and Experience Requirements:

Post-secondary education in a scientific field preferred Technical welding school ASME Section IX certified welder AWS CWI preferred

Minimum of 3 years’ experience Welding (MIG & TIG). Must have leadership training. Would prefer associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and/or 5 or more years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably metal fabrication; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CWI preferred.

Additional Information:

Experience in writing Standard Operating Procedures, Performance Qualification Records(used in creating Weld Procedure Specification documents), and Welder Performance Qualification Records is  preferred.
