The Weekend Supervisor, Formulated Research Products Supervisor - Pools, is responsible for overseeing and organizing the daily workflow and the daily operations of direct reports in the production area for the assigned value stream and shift. 

This position reports to the Formulated Research Products Value Stream Leader and is part of the Formulated Research Products Value Stream located in Coralville, IA, and will be an on-site role.  

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Attracts, engages, and retains diverse talent.  Responsible for oversight of direct reports including hiring, training, personal development, performance management, career discussions and discipline.  Perform approval and tracking of time off requests and time sheets to ensure a successful planning of resources. Establish a regular cadence of staff meetings and 1:1’s with direct reports. Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors. Verify/ensure preventative maintenance schedules in CMMS (i.e., Maintenance Connection) are completed on time. 

                                      

The essential requirements of the job include: 

Minimum bachelor’s degree in biology, (Bio)Chemistry, (engineering) or Biotechnology or any relevant field, OR equivalent by relevant experience of at least 5+ years. Previous leadership experience. Experience in application of lean tools such as 5S, Standard Work, Visual/Daily Management, Problem Solving. Have excellent computer skills and the ability to multitask. Have excellent communication skills and be able to make decisions independently.Must be able to interact in a professional manner with customers, associates, and all levels of management. 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Ability to adapt to changing priorities, changes is process, work environments, management styles, and business trends. Ability to prioritize work and complete projects in an accurate and timely manner.   Ability to accept responsibility for the direction, control or planning of an activity.
